La motivazione per cui è stato loro riconosciuto il premio è dovuta “per i loro sforzi per mettere fine all’uso della violenza sessuale come arma in guerre e conflitti armati”.

Non saranno e non dovranno essere tollerati in alcun modo quelle azioni e quei comportamenti finalizzati al compimento degli abusi, delle aggressioni, delle deportazioni, delle devastazioni e delle distruzioni e di tutte le altre azioni di intimidazione, delle ingiurie, delle minacce, delle molestie, delle mutilazioni fisiche e genitali, dei soprusi, del terrorismo, delle torture e delle violenze attuate a scopo sessuale e non sessuale, culturale, etnico, religioso o razziale, questi sono e devono essere considerati, dovranno essere perseguiti, censurati e condannati, esecrati come crimini, come delitti contro la dignità e contro tutta lʼumanità.

I consiglieri ed i dirigenti governativi e politici europei e mondiali, a livello nazionale, internazionale e transnazionale dovrebbero e potrebbero aprire canali e vie sicure e legali per i migranti e per i rifugiati in modo che essi possano raggiungere ed eventualmente immigrare in modo legale quindi spendere, avendone la disponibilità, i loro soldi, investire i loro averi nei Paesi dellʼUnione Europea e del mondo quindi cercare asilo e rifugio dalle persecuzioni e dalle violenze inflitte nelle loro nazioni di origine per iniziare una nuova vita sicura e dignitosa, invece di consegnare i loro risparmi di una vita ai criminali contrabbandieri ed ai mercanti, ai trafficanti della schiavitù e della morte.
